"Busily Carting Public Grain" is a bangdi (small transverse
bamboo flute) solo composed in the early 1970s, during the
early days of China's Cultural Revolution. The piece describes the
joy of a bountiful harvest in the countryside, as carts full of surplus
grain are happily rushed to the market. This virtuosic composition
is in ternary form, and displays northern-style extended techniques
of the bamboo flute, including glissandi, flutter tonguing, portmento,
double-tonguing and rapid scalar figurations.
「皆の穀物を忙しく車で運ぶ」
（「揚鞭催馬運糧忙」を直訳するなら、「鞭を上げて馬をせかして
穀物を忙しく運ばせる」でしょうか）は
中国文化革命のころお1970年代前半に独奏用に作曲された。
この作品は田舎の豊作の穀物ををいっぱい積んだ荷車が
喜びに満ちて市場に向けてかけてゆく様子を描いている。
この演奏に名人芸を要する作品は三人編成によるものであり、
竹横笛の北部地方において拡張された技巧（flutter tonguing,
portmento, double-tonguing and rapid scalar figurations）を
見ることができる。
